PUB to TIFF Ruby Overview

Convert Microsoft Publisher (PUB) documents to TIFF for records management, print workflows, and interoperability. Open password‑protected files when needed and control output using image resolution (DPI), scaling with explicit width/height, and compression settings to balance fidelity and file size. Ideal for generating consistent, high‑fidelity page snapshots in automated pipelines with predictable results across varied inputs while preserving the look of layouts, text, and graphics.

Customizable Parameters

Fine-tune your automation with these powerful conversion options

File

File Supported formats: .pub

File to be converted. Value can be URL or file content.

Password

String

Sets the password to open protected documents.

TiffType

Collection Default: color24lzw

Set TIFF type.

Values:   color24nc color32nc color24lzw color32lzw color24zip color32zip grayscale grayscalelzw grayscalezip monochromeg3 monochromeg32d monochromeg4 monochromelzw monochromepackbits

MultiPage

Bool Default: True

Create multi-page TIFF file.

FillOrder

Collection Default: 0

The logical order of bits within a byte.

Values:   0 1

ImageResolutionH

Integer Default: 200

Set output image horizontal resolution in dpi.

Range:   1 .. 2000

ImageResolutionV

Integer Default: 200

Set output image vertical resolution in dpi.

Range:   1 .. 2000

ScaleImage

Bool Default: True

Scale the output image. If ScaleImage is False output document will be stripped to ImageHeight / ImageWidth, if ScalePage is True output document will be scaled to ImageHeight / ImageWidth.

ScaleProportions

Bool Default: True

If set to true, the barcode will be generated using recommended proportions based on the larger dimension.

ScaleIfLarger

Bool Default: False

Scaling only if the input image is larger than the output.

ImageHeight

Integer

Image height in pixels.

Range:   10 .. 20000

ImageWidth

Integer

Image width in pixels.

Range:   10 .. 20000

TextAntialiasing

Collection Default: 1

Control the use of text subsample antialiasing. The subsampling box size should be 4 bits for optimum text antialiasing, but smaller values can be used for faster rendering.

Values:   0 1 2 4

GraphicsAntialiasing

Collection Default: 1

Control the use of graphics content subsample antialiasing. The subsampling box size should be 4 bits for optimum graphics content antialiasing, but smaller values can be used for faster rendering.

Values:   0 1 2 4

ImageInterpolation

Bool Default: False

Specifies whether the image parser should use image interpolation. Enabling image interpolation will result in higher quality for scaled images at the expense of speed.

UseCIEColor

Bool Default: False

Specifies whether the image parser should remap the device-dependent.

StoreFile

Bool Default: False

When the StoreFile parameter is set to True, your converted file is written to ConvertAPI’s encrypted, temporary storage and made available via a time-limited secure download URL, valid for up to 3 hours. After this period, the file is permanently deleted.

When StoreFile is set to False, conversion happens entirely in-memory. The raw file bytes are streamed back in the API response without touching disk or external storage, ensuring maximum security and zero persistence so that only you can access the content.
