New: PDF to ZUGFeRD and PDF to Factur-X Converters
Two new AI converters, PDF to ZUGFeRD and PDF to Factur-X, turn a PDF invoice into a compliant e-invoice in one call. They extract the invoice data and embed it as EN 16931 XML in a PDF/A-3 copy of the file.
Highlights
- Extracts the full EN 16931 data set: seller and buyer details, VAT identifiers, invoice lines, the tax breakdown, payment terms and monetary totals.
- Embeds the Cross Industry Invoice (CII) XML as factur-x.xml in a PDF/A-3 copy of the invoice.
- Both converters produce the same output, since Factur-X 1.0 and ZUGFeRD 2.1 or later are one standard.
- Reads scanned and photographed invoices as well. Pages without a text layer are read visually by the AI, so no separate OCR step is needed.
- Handles invoices of up to 10 pages. A page range that covers more is rejected with a request to select the invoice pages through
PageRange. - Accepts password-protected PDFs through the
Passwordparameter.
