PDF to SVG Java Overview

Convert PDF documents to clean SVG graphics suitable for web and app workflows. Handle password‑protected files, limit processing to a specific page range, and rotate pages to correct orientation. Control output using image resolution (DPI), scale proportions with explicit width/height, and apply anti‑aliasing for crisp rendering. Map a specific color to transparency to match UI backgrounds or downstream tools and keep results predictable across batches. Ideal for embedding diagrams, pages, and illustrations as scalable vector graphics with consistent characteristics.

Customizable Parameters

Fine-tune your automation with these powerful conversion options

File

File Supported formats: .pdf

File to be converted. Value can be URL or file content.

Password

String

Sets the password to open protected documents.

PageRange

String Default: 1-2000

Set page range. Example 1-10 or 1,2,5.

ImageResolution

Integer Default: 200

Set output image resolution in dpi.

Range:   10 .. 800

ScaleProportions

Bool Default: True

If set to true, the barcode will be generated using recommended proportions based on the larger dimension.

ImageHeight

Integer

Image height in pixels.

Range:   10 .. 10000

ImageWidth

Integer

Image width in pixels.

Range:   10 .. 10000

ImageAntialiasing

Integer Default: 8

Control the use of text and graphics subsample antialiasing. The subsampling box size should be 8 bits for optimum text antialiasing, but smaller values can be used for faster rendering.

Range:   0 .. 8

Rotate

Integer

Rotate image by angle.

Range:   -360 .. 360

TransparentColor

Color

Add alpha channel to image, setting pixels matching color to transparent. Values accepted are RGBA, CMYK hex string, color name or RGB format like this 255,255,255 (RED=255, GREEN=255, BLUE=255) or 255,255,255,150 with alpha chanel.

StoreFile

Bool Default: False

When the StoreFile parameter is set to True, your converted file is written to ConvertAPI’s encrypted, temporary storage and made available via a time-limited secure download URL, valid for up to 3 hours. After this period, the file is permanently deleted.

When StoreFile is set to False, conversion happens entirely in-memory. The raw file bytes are streamed back in the API response without touching disk or external storage, ensuring maximum security and zero persistence so that only you can access the content.
