New Word Tools: DOCX Compare and DOCX to XML

Two new Word document tools are available. DOCX Compare highlights the differences between two documents, and DOCX to XML exports Word content as structured XML.

Highlights

• DOCX Compare - compare two DOCX files and produce a document with tracked changes marking additions, deletions, and modifications.
  • Fine-grained control over what is compared: formatting, case changes, whitespace, tables, headers, footnotes, text boxes, fields, comments, and moves.
  • Set the comparison granularity and the revision author, or accept existing revisions before comparing.
• DOCX to XML - convert Word documents to XML, with options to update the table of contents and references and to choose the XML flavor.
