Yes. Files are processed over an encrypted connection on ConvertAPI's HIPAA and GDPR compliant infrastructure, and uploaded files are automatically deleted after processing. Your documents are never used for AI training.
How does this work under the hood?
The assistant is connected to the ConvertAPI MCP server. It discovers the available conversion tools through the Model Context Protocol and calls them with your file, the same way Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible AI agent can.
